Israel and Japan take “first step” towards free trade agreement

Israel and Japan have decided to launch a joint study group, looking into the possibility of a Japan-Israel Economic Partnership Agreement, a senior official Israeli said.

Israel and Japan have a relatively large volume of trade, with USD 1.23 billion in Israeli exports to Japan and USD 1.51 billion in the other direction.
