Murphy & McGonigle’s leading FinTech & Blockchain Practice will serve as a gold sponsor of FinTech Junction, which takes place in Tel Aviv on Sun., June 24. Shareholder Matthew Comstock of the Washington, D.C. office, a former lawyer with the Securities and Exchange Commission, will deliver a keynote speech, “The Regulation of Issuing, Trading, and Exchanging Digital Assets – A View from the U.S.” Elizabeth Lan Davis, a shareholder who recently joined Murphy & McGonigle after nine years at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) where she was a Chief Trial Attorney in the Division of Enforcement, will speak as a panelist on two panels – “Innovative Ways to Meet KYC & AML Requirements and Prevent Fraud in the FinTech Age,” followed by “Cryptocurrency Regulation: Where Do We Stand Today and What’s Coming Next?” Shareholder James Goldfarb of the New York office will be a panelist on the session, “Expert Advice: Things to Consider When Launching or Investing in ICOs.”
