CAF and Shapir Civil and Marine Engineering have won the Light Rail tender for Tel Aviv’s Purple Line

CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) and Shapir Civil and Marine Engineering Ltd. have won the tender for the design, financing, construction, operation and maintaining of the “Purple Line” of the Tel Aviv light rail transit project.

The Purple Line is expected to connect the cities of Kiryat Ono and Yehud to central Tel Aviv, stopping at Bar Ilan University, Sheba Medical Center, and Shuk Hacarmel in Tel Aviv.

It will span 27 kilometers and 45 stations and is expected to operate during 2026.

Shibolet Partners David Magriso, Eyal Ron, and associate Matan Dekel advised Shapir and CAF in submitting the proposal.
