Back to School – The Israeli EdTech Industry

Categories: Hi-Tech

As the Covid pandemic triggered consumer demand for new virtual-first tools, the startup scene in the education field has gained momentum, according to IVC Data and Insights.

As of today, the EdTech vertical continues to experience a boom in venture capital, with median capital raised per deal having increased by X5 over the last five years.

The number of EdTech companies in the Seed stage has increased from 5% to 13% over the past years, demonstrating a shift in scale and opportunities since before the pandemic.

Public markets have suffered a significant shutdown almost across all sectors, but IPOs have rarely been a primary exit path for EdTech startups, resulting in 14 exits in the past five years.
