Rubrik acquires cloud security startup Laminar for USD200-250 million

Israeli cloud security start-up Laminar has been acquired by U.S. company Rubrik for an estimated amount of USD200-250 million, according to a report in Calcalist. Previous negotiations to buy the company had included U.S. software company Datadog.
This marks a significant exit for Laminar, a three-year-old company that has raised USD67 million to date.
The combination between the two companies will create the industry’s first complete cyber resilience offering of its kind, while sharing a common vision according to which cyber resilience is the next frontier in DATA security.
