Clal Insurance will invest in the energy arm of Mivtach Shamir, at value of NIS 1.5b

Israeli insurance giant, Clal Insurance will invest in the energy branch of Mivtach Shamir, at a valuation of NIS 1.5 billion. The scope of the insurance company’s investment will be NIS 306 million and it will receive 20% of the energy arm of the company controlled by Meir Shamir.

The money will be used by the Shamir insurer to establish the Kesem power plant and its renewable energy activities.

Erdinast, Ben Nathan, Toledano & Co., With Hamburger Evron advised Mivtach Shamir on the investment, led by EBN’s Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance department, notably Uri Mandel, Oren Tal and Shada Samara, together with Michal Rothschild and Omri Gissin (Antitrust and Competition), and Moti Yamin and Meni Kogan (Capital Markets).
