Israeli Tech Funding Falls Sharply

Categories:

In April 2025, Israeli startups secured a total of USD 455 million across 19 funding rounds, a significant decline from the over USD 1 billion raised in April 2024. The steep drop stems from the absence of mega-rounds exceeding USD 100 million, which had inflated the previous year’s total. This year, early-stage investments dominated, with only six Series B or later rounds reported.

Leading the month’s fundraising were Israel-based observability firm Groundcover (USD 35 million, Series B), compliance platform Anecdotes (USD 30 million), and enterprise AI startup Unframe (USD 30 million, Series A). Other key rounds included USD 70 million for developer observability company Lightrun, USD 50 million each for SaaS data protector Sentra and health benefits platform Healthee, and USD 25 million for SaaS security firm Reco. Cybersecurity remained a standout sector, alongside AI and enterprise software.
