Israeli InsurTech Sayata Acquired By Global Indemnity Subsidiary

Sayata, an Israeli InsurTech founded in 2017, has been acquired by Penn-America Underwriters, a subsidiary of Global Indemnity Group (NYSE: GBLI).

Sayata operates an AI-powered digital distribution marketplace and agency operations platform for commercial insurance, and its integration into GBLI marks a step in the group’s strategic expansion in the insurance sector.

McDermott Will & Schulte, together with S. Horowitz & Co., advised Sayata on the sale. While the McDermott team was led by New York partner Michael Byrne, the S. Horowitz team included partner Miriam Zaltsman, associates David Silber and Yonathana Frohlich, from the firm’s High-Tech Practice Group.
