Israeli Startups Drive New York Growth

Israeli innovation continues to power New York’s economy, with Israeli-founded companies generating USD 19.5 billion in gross economic output in 2024, according to the 2025 Economic Impact Report by the United States–Israel Business Alliance (USIBA). Across New York State, 648 Israeli-founded firms supported 57,145 jobs, paying USD 8.6 billion in employee earnings and adding USD 13.3 billion in value to the state’s economy.

In the New York City area alone, 590 Israeli companies created 50,648 jobs, producing USD 8.1 billion in earnings and USD 12.4 billion in value-added. The number of Israeli-founded unicorns in NYC surged from five in 2019 to 20 in 2024, highlighting strong and sustained growth. This resilience underscores New York’s position as a global hub for Israeli entrepreneurs, offering access to capital, talent, and cross-border advisory services that propel bilateral innovation.
