Molex to acquire Teramount in USD430m deal

Categories: Corporate and M&A, Hi-Tech

Molex agreed to acquire Teramount, an Israeli optical-connectivity company focused on fiber-to-chip interconnect technology for next-generation AI infrastructure, in a transaction valued at USD 430 million

Teramount’s platform is designed to make co-packaged optics (CPO) more deployable at scale by enabling a detachable, field-serviceable connection between optical fiber and silicon photonics chips—addressing bandwidth and power constraints in data centers as AI workloads grow.

The company will continue operating as a design and engineering center in Jerusalem, and the acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary conditions.

Jones Day  is acting for Molex on the transaction, with Goldfarb Gross Seligman acting as Israeli counsel. Gornitzky & Co. are representing Teramount.
