New Guidelines concerning Direct Mailing and Direct Mailing Services, and Cancellation of the Official Fee for Databases

Recently, the Israel Law, Information and Technology Authority (‘ILITA’) published guidelines of the Database Registrar (2/2017) the purpose of which is to clarify the Registrar’s interpretation of the provisions of the Protection of Privacy Law with respect to direct mailing and direct mailing services and the rights given to the recipients of the same in light of the overall potential in them to interfere with the privacy of an individual.
