Quantum Machines acquires PCB Engineering

Categories: Corporate and M&A, Hi-Tech

Quantum Machines has acquired Hungarian company PCB Engineering, marking the Israeli quantum computing company’s second European acquisition in six weeks.

The acquisition will establish a new research and development hub in Budapest and add PCB Engineering’s 40 employees to Quantum Machines’ global workforce. It follows QM’s recent acquisition of QHarbor, a TU Delft spin-off, and the opening of a new office in Delft in the Netherlands.

Quantum Machines develops control systems that connect quantum processing units to the classical computing infrastructure required to operate them. Its technology is used by more than half of the world’s quantum computing companies across multiple approaches, including superconducting qubits, trapped ions, neutral atoms, and spin qubits.

The transaction expands Quantum Machines’ European engineering footprint as competition grows in the race toward fault-tolerant quantum systems. The company completed a USD 170 million Series C financing round in 2025, bringing its total funding to USD 280 million.

DLA Piper advised Quantum Machines on the transaction.
