Israeli tech ecosystem in New York gets Chelsea hub

Categories: Hi-Tech

The Israeli technology ecosystem in New York has gained a dedicated new hub with the opening of Hakibbutz NYC in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.

The hub was established through a partnership between Hakibbutz, an Israeli innovation and workspace company, and Israeli Mapped in NY, a platform tracking Israeli technology companies in New York. The space is intended to give Israeli founders, investors, venture capital firms, corporations, and business partners a permanent location for meetings, events, and business development.

Approximately 470 Israeli startups currently operate in New York, up from 56 companies when Israeli Mapped in NY began tracking the ecosystem. The city has become a key US base for Israeli companies in sectors including cybersecurity, fintech, and artificial intelligence, providing access to customers, investors, financial institutions, and multinational corporations.

Cybersecurity company Zafran Security is among the first companies to establish operations at the hub, with additional startups expected to join in the coming months. The hub will also host founder meetings, investor gatherings, professional discussions, and meetings with executives from US corporations.
