Soglowek takes 70% stake in Thai plant-based meat producer Plant & Bean
Soglowek has acquired a 70% interest in Plant & Bean, a plant-based meat alternatives manufacturer in Ayutthaya, Thailand, expanding its production footprint outside Israel.
The remaining 30% interest will continue to be held indirectly by PTT, Thailand’s national energy and oil company. Soglowek acquired its majority position from an existing shareholder and will operate the facility together with PTT following completion.
The transaction is expected to support Soglowek’s export strategy, including increased supply to the Israeli market. As part of the investment, Soglowek will fund an expansion of the site, with the goal of doubling its scale and increasing production capacity. The expansion is already underway and is expected to take about a year.
The facility produces plant-based meat alternative products for international customers, including in the UK, Southeast Asia, and the US. It provides white-label manufacturing services as well as product development capabilities for food brands seeking tailored plant-based offerings.
LIPA&CO. advised Soglowek on the transaction, with a team led by Gary Copelovitz and Ana Eiskov.
