Arnon, Tadmor-Levy analyzes proposed National Cyber Protection Law
Israel’s National Cyber Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Office has published a proposed National Cyber Protection Law, intended to create a comprehensive statutory framework governing national cyber protection and to formalize the authority of the Cyber Directorate. The bill would introduce baseline cyber-security obligations for designated “critical organizations,” including entities in telecommunications, energy, water, healthcare and digital services, along with structured oversight and enforcement mechanisms.
In an article published by Arnon, Tadmor-Levy, Idan Arnon and Yedidya Altshuler examine the scope of the proposal, including definitions of covered entities, reporting requirements, supervisory powers and potential implications for regulated sectors. The authors note that affected organizations may need to assess governance structures and compliance readiness in anticipation of possible enactment.
