Bank Leumi launches covered EUR750m bonds

Bank Leumi completed its inaugural EUR 750 million covered bond offering to international investors, marking the first-ever covered bond issuance by an Israeli issuer.
The transaction opened a new funding channel for Israeli banks in the European debt capital markets.
Herzog advised Bank Leumi on the transaction, led by partner Irit Roth, together with partners Ron Ben-Menachem (Capital Markets), Roy Nachimzon (Banking and Finance), Nir Dash (Co-Head of Corporate and Capital Markets), Mohammad Mawasi (Capital Markets), and Dr. Ehab Farah (Tax), with support from associates Nathan Adler (Banking and Finance), Hillel Billauer and Shmuel Berzon (Capital Markets).
