Calcalist Miami is a hit

The Calcalist Miami 2024 conference focused on fostering connections between the Israeli business and tech ecosystem and Florida’s growing entrepreneurial scene.

The event, supported by prominent players like Pillsbury and Greenberg Traurig (GT), aimed to highlight opportunities for Israeli companies in Florida. Pillsbury’s Miami partner Shani Rivaux, along with Justin Rubin, led the firm’s sponsorship efforts, demonstrating their commitment to this thriving partnership.

Eyal Peled, a shareholder at GT New York, reflected on the significance of this trend: “The growing trend of Israeli entrepreneurs and businesses establishing operations in Florida is undeniable, driven by a variety of factors. With GT’s strong presence in Israel and Florida, boasting six offices across the state, I attended the event to engage with the local Israeli community and explore opportunities to support GT clients who have already made the move to Florida. Over the course of the three-day event, I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout and the diverse range of players thriving in Florida’s local scene—including founders, VCs, family offices, and the supportive Jewish community. This is no longer a budding ecosystem; it’s already thriving in a big way. The energy was fantastic, and it’s evident that the future of the Israeli tech scene in Florida is exceptionally bright.”
