Cohen & Gresser Opens London Office
Cohen & Gresser is pleased to announce its continued international expansion with the launch of its London office on June 1, 2018. The office, which will be the firm’s fifth location globally and its second in Europe, will serve clients in all aspects of the investment industry, including hedge funds, private equity and venture capital funds, investors, and management companies. It will also focus on transactional work, cross-border litigation, and investigations. Partner Jeffrey (Jeff) M Bronheim will lead the London office. Jeff joins the firm after a decade as General Counsel of Cheyne Capital Management in London. Prior to that, he was counsel to the liquid markets business at Fortress Investment Group in New York, where he advised on the first NYSE hedge fund manager IPO. He has served as in-house counsel at JPMorgan Chase and Credit Suisse, and began his career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. Licensed in the UK and New York, his practice focuses on serving fund managers, investors, funds, and other alternative investment vehicles on both sides of the Atlantic across all aspects of their business. “We are delighted that Jeff has decided to join the firm and open our London office,” said Lawrence T Gresser, Managing Partner of Cohen & Gresser. “We have been friends for 25 years. He has an unparalleled understanding of the needs of the alternative asset management industry and will not only expand the firm’s services, but complement and enhance our strong cross-border practices.” The new London office is part of C&G’s ongoing international expansion through strong professional relationships. Jeff attended law school with Paris office Managing Partner, Johannes Jonas, worked with Mr. Gresser at Cleary Gottlieb, and served as in-house counsel at JPMorgan Chase with Kwaku Andoh, the head of the firm’s Africa practice. “I’m thrilled to join Cohen & Gresser’s London office, especially given the complex challenges now facing London’s investment industry in the global financial network,” said Jeff. “As I watched my friends build and join Cohen & Gresser, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
