Dekal-Dia Ltd. signs NIS450m financing for organic waste facility
Dekal-Dia Ltd. has signed a financing agreement for approximately NIS 450 million with Discount Bank for a project to design, build and operate an organic waste treatment facility at the Dia site in the Eshkol Regional Council.
The Dia project, launched under a government initiative to support the Gaza border region, will process 200,000 tons of organic waste annually and produce 4.5 MW of renewable energy.
This facility will help cut greenhouse gas emissions, eliminate the need for landfills, and create a sustainable energy source for Israel. By transforming waste into green power, the project generates substantial environmental and economic benefits, contributing to the nation’s ecological and energy goals.
