Energean Signs MoU to Export Israeli Gas to Cyprus

Energean plc, the UK-based gas producer operating Israel’s offshore fields, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Cyprus to supply natural gas from Israel to Cyprus.
Although non-binding, the agreement marks a significant milestone in regional energy collaboration and lays the foundation for negotiations on pricing, supply volumes, and infrastructure, including potential subsea pipelines.
For Israel, the MoU consolidates its position as a regional energy hub, reinforcing its growing role in the Eastern Mediterranean gas market. For Cyprus, the deal offers a route to diversify energy sources and ensure long-term supply stability.
