Herzog Fox & Neeman’s Head of Hi-Tech on first tech delegation to UAE
Herzog Fox & Neeman partner and Head of Hi-Tech, Yair Geva, has this past week visited the UAE, as part of the first Israeli Hi-Tech delegation, led by Erel Margalit, founder and managing partner of global VC fund, Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP).
“I have been active in the UAE for a few years now and it was my first time on a blue and white passport. We have had great discussions and met with ministers, investors, business groups and entrepreneurs. There is obviously a huge interest in Israeli technology and people are very happy and optimistic about potential future cooperation. Personally, I think this is the beginning of the Golden Triangle – Abu Dhabi-Dubai/Riyadh/Tel Aviv and we could see an opening up to other markets in Asia.”
According to a report in Reuters, JVP’s Margalit was in Dubai to discuss the opening of an investment hub with potential partners. A hub, he told Reuters, could focus on AI, healthcare or food tech.
While JVP is headquartered in Jerusalem, it also has a cyber lab in southern Israel, a food tech hub in northern Israel, and opened a cybersecurity center in New York City earlier this year.
