High Court of Justice Blocks Attorney General Dismissal
Categories: Dispute Resolution
The High Court of Justice, sitting in an expanded panel of nine justices, issued an order nisi against the Government of Israel concerning its decision to dismiss Attorney General Adv. Gali Baharav-Miara.
The Court found that the dismissal process conflicted with legal requirements and advised the government to reverse course.
S. Horowitz & Co. represented the petitioners, a group of senior academics including Nobel Prize laureates and former university presidents, who challenged both the revised impeachment process and the dismissal itself.
The firm’s team included Ronen Brumer, Nicholas Gipps, Ira Hardy, Tamar Rotenberg, Yael Rivanovich, and Noam Dahan, who argued the case before the Court.
