According to industry experts, the cost of cybercrime worldwide will increase by 15% annually in the next five years, and by 2025 that cost will reach USD 10.5 trillion per year.
If cybercrime were a country, it would have the world’s third-largest economy, after the US and China. Furthermore, says American security company Norton, more than half of all consumers have experienced a cybercrime or some kind.
