Israel and Jordan signed their largest-ever cooperation water-for-energy deal, in which Jordan will build 600 megawatts of solar generating capacity to be exported to Israel, contingent upon Israel providing water-scarce Jordan with 200 million cubic meters of desalinated water.

Present at the ceremony were Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and US Climate Envoy John Kerry, who was involved in getting the agreement over the finish line.
