Israel launches ETA for travelers; Greenberg issues update

In an immigration update, Greenberg Traurig has published on January 5 details of a change in relation to travel to Israel.
As of January 1, 2025, Israel has implemented the Electronic Travel Authorization system (ETA-IL), requiring travelers from visa-exempt countries, including the United States, to obtain authorization at least 72 hours before arrival.
Applicants must provide passport details, a valid email, and pay a 25 Israeli Shekel (approximately USD 7) fee. Once approved, the authorization is valid for up to two years or until the passport expires, allowing stays of up to 90 days per visit.
