Israel launches its first domestically built quantum computer

Israel has unveiled its first domestically developed quantum computer, a 20-qubit system utilizing advanced superconducting technology.
This achievement results from a collaboration among the Israel Innovation Authority, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Yissum, the university’s technology transfer company.
The quantum computer is expected to enhance Israel’s capabilities in defense, industry, and scientific research, positioning the nation among the select few with operational quantum computing infrastructures.
