Israeli Entrepreneur Wins USD 400M Arbitration
Israeli businessman Eytan Stibbe, founder of the Vital Capital investment fund and one of Israel’s first commercial astronauts, successfully defended a USD 400 million fraud claim in a London-seated arbitration.
Sole arbitrator Klaus Reichert SC of Brick Court Chambers issued an award fully dismissing all allegations against Stibbe and a company under his control, bringing an end to a complex multi-year dispute.
Erdinast, Ben Nathan, Toledano acted as counsel to Stibbe, with representation led by Giora Erdinast, Tomer Weissman, Yuval Naim, Efrat Cibulski and Shai Luchtenstein of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department. They worked alongside Mark Levy KC, Sarah Morreau, Richard Wells and Pranay Lekhi of A&O Shearman’s International Arbitration team.
