Israeli generative AI co AI21 Labs raises USD155 million, at USD1.4b valuation
Israeli generative AI unicorn company AI21 Labs has closed a USD155 million Series C financing round, valuing the company at approximately USD1.4 billion.
Investors include Walden Catalyst, Pitango, SCB10X, b2venture, Samsung Next and co-founder Prof. Amnon Shashua, with participation from Google and Nvidia. The new funding brings the total amount raised by AI21 Labs to USD283 million.
Founded in 2017 by Prof. Amnon Shashua, also co-founder of Mobileye, Prof. Yoav Shoham, and Ori Goshen, AI21 Labs was one of the first to bring generative AI to the masses. The company’s text-based generative AI services, with advanced LLM and natural language (NLP) technologies, serve both consumers and Fortune 100 companies.
Advising Nvidia was Herzog, led by Yuval Meidar, Tomer Amsalem and Nitzan Ben Ari.
H-F & Co. acted for Google, with the team including Nitzan Hirsch-Falk, Adi Gillat, Yarin Bitton, Noa Levi, and Shiraz Neri.
