Israeli Real Estate Developer Gefen Finalizes Deal with Shareholder
Gefen Residential and Renewal Ltd., a publicly traded Israeli real estate developer, completed a complex corporate and property transaction involving its controlling shareholder.
The deal required the approval and oversight of an independent committee of the board due to its related-party nature and strategic significance for Gefen’s ongoing urban renewal projects.
Operating in Israel’s residential regeneration sector, Gefen specializes in large-scale urban redevelopment. The transaction addressed both corporate governance and asset-related considerations, reflecting the company’s continued expansion and capital optimization efforts.
Herzog advised the independent committee through a cross-practice team spanning corporate and real estate. The deal team included partners Moshe Minster, Efrat Tzur, and Dan Mandelbaum, supported by attorneys Yahli Gutman and Chen Tzohar, with interns Lihi Alon Braun and Adam Dakwar, and attorney Netta Tauber.
