Israel’s Outbrain to buy Teads from Drahi’s Altice for USD 1 billion

Israeli content recommendation firm Outbrain Inc. (Nasdaq: OB) has announced its acquisition of Teads, a supply-side platform and video monetization company owned by Patrick Drahi’s Altice, the parent company of Hot Telecommunication Systems.

The deal, valued at approximately USD 1 billion, includes an upfront payment of USD 725 million in cash, alongside USD 25 million in deferred cash, shares, and convertible preferred equity.

Meitar advised Outbrain on the acquisition, which positions Outbrain to enhance its video monetization capabilities while expanding its offerings within the digital advertising landscape.
