Lawsuit looks to stop wind turbine energy project that threatens Druze community in the Golan Heights
Categories: Dispute Resolution
Tadmor Levy is representing 6 agricultural associations and 88 Druze residents in a lawsuit to stop a wind turbine energy project that has far-reaching implications and threaten the Druze community in the Golan Heights, in terms of their livelihoods and way of life.
The lawsuit was filed in the Nazareth Magistrate’s Court against Clean Wind Energy Ltd. An absolute majority of the residents in the area oppose its implementation and promotion.
The plaintiffs seek to halt the project on the grounds that some of it will be built on their land without their agreeing to it.
The lawsuit was filed by Adv. Nir Kehat and Adv. Yoav Levy, partners in the Litigation department.
