Nine Israeli startups secure USD142m in funding from EU Horizon program

Nine Israeli startups have been awarded €130 million (USD 142 million) in grants from the European Union’s Horizon accelerator program. This support comes at a difficult time, as many young founders and entrepreneurs face challenges in securing vital funding amid nearly 10 months of ongoing conflict with the Hamas terror group.

The European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator distributed a total of €411 million to 68 companies selected from 969 applicants across 17 countries. Israel ranked third in terms of grant recipients, following Germany and France, each of which had 13 companies receive funding.
