Nvidia buys Israeli start-up Run: ai for USD700m
U.S. tech giant Nvidia has acquired Israeli company Run: ai for USD700 million and is close to buying another Israeli start-up, Deci, founded in 2019.
Meanwhile, Run: ai, founded in 2018, allows enterprise customers to manage and optimize their computer infrastructure, whether on premises, in the cloud or in hybrid environments. The purchase of Run:ai is Nvidia’s biggest acquisition in Israel since purchasing Mellanox for USD6.9 billion in March 2019.
Since the acquisition, Nvidia’s local R&D center in Israel, which was first established in 2016, grew by about 100%, reaching 4,000 employees in the country.

Nvidia is also acquiring AI start-up Deci, which provides end-to-end deep learning development platform, helping AI developers build, optimize, and deploy AI models to any environment, such as cloud, edge, and mobile.
