OfekTech Launches To Back Veteran Founders

Categories: Hi-Tech

OfekTech, a new Israeli accelerator, has been launched to empower IDF and national-service veterans to develop high-impact technology ventures. Created by Masa El HaOfek (Journey to the Horizon) in collaboration with the Israel Ministry of Defense, the program offers mentorship, legal and financial guidance, and access to Israel’s thriving tech ecosystem.

The accelerator supports veterans from the concept stage through product development, marketing, and investor engagement. Mentors include leading entrepreneurs, investors, and executives from Israel’s tech sector who help participants translate military leadership and problem-solving skills into commercial success.

At the Tel Aviv launch event, former Science, Technology & Space Minister Izhar Shay and Vice-Admiral (res.) Ram Rutberg, CEO of Masa El HaOfek, emphasized OfekTech’s mission to channel veterans’ discipline and creativity into ventures that strengthen Israel’s innovation landscape.
