Pillsbury has bolstered its practice areas with the addition of prominent hires in defense contracting and cross-border litigation.

These additions reinforce Pillsbury’s capabilities in defense, national security, and cross-border legal matters, with a focus on Israeli and international clients.

Joining Pillsbury’s Government Law & Strategies group in Washington, D.C., is a three-person National Security and Defense Contracting lobbying team from Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP. Senior counsel Justin Rubin, along with senior policy advisors Rachel Gorsky Bombach and John M. Thomas, bring extensive experience supporting U.S. subsidiaries of major Israeli defense contractors like Rafael and IAI. Their expertise spans strategic counsel, legislative advocacy, and representation before U.S. defense and security departments.

In London, Pillsbury has added Laurence Lieberman, formerly a senior partner at Taylor Wessing, to its cross-border disputes practice. With over 25 years of experience, Laurence specializes in complex commercial litigation and international arbitration, representing Israeli fintech, life sciences, and technology clients in major disputes and regulatory matters.
