Categories: Hi-Tech

Adv.Vered Zlaikha, partner and head of the Cyber Affairs & Artificial Intelligence department at Lipa Meir took part in an enlightening panel on the challenges facing the cyber industry in 2022.

Held at Tel Aviv University, on behalf of the Association of Directors and the Privacy and Information Security Community, the conference dealt with a myriad of critical issues, with Vered referring to the legal tools available to organizations in dealing with cyber threats from the supply chain, including an early agreement arrangement of aspects of cybersecurity and how to conduct cyber incidents with suppliers.

Furthermore, she noted and outlined the benefits of sectoral cyber regulation (such as regulation in the insurance and health sectors), which may improve cybersecurity in those organizations and create more certainty. Vered also referred to the evolving regulation in Israel and the U.S. regarding reporting obligations for cyber incidents in the private sector and the need to balance the public interest in protecting the entire economy and the interest of the private organization when making independent decisions in such a cyber event.
