Furthermore, a new programme worth NIS 9 million (approximately USD 2.4 million) has been launched to facilitate collaboration between researchers from Israel and the UK on shared research priorities.

The UK-Israel Research Collaboration, the inaugural initiative funded by the UK’s Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and Israel’s Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (MOST), arises from a Memorandum of Understanding signed last year to enhance scientific partnerships.

The first call for proposals for researchers from both countries has been announced and will remain open until 30 September 2024.
