UK PE firm Permira buys Israel’s BioCatch for USD1.3 billion

Permira Growth Opportunities II, a fund advised by global private equity firm Permira, has agreed to acquire a majority position in BioCatch, a Tel Aviv-based cyber company and global leader in digital fraud detection and financial crime prevention.

Latham & Watkins represents Permira in the transaction with a private equity M&A team led by Washington, D.C. partners Brian Mangino and Elizabeth More, among a slew of lawyers involved from across the firm.

EBN also advised Permira, with a legal team led by the Corporate and M&A team, Doni Toledano, Roy Caner, Nitzan Aberbach, Yosef Mark, Amit Horovitz, Tom Lahav, and Alon Ovadia, with the assistance of many other firm members, including Eyal Birenberg (Labor), Dr. Eran Lempert (Tax), Lior Etgar and Danit Yehezkel (Privacy and Data Protection), Kobi Barkan (IP and Technology), and Yael Benyayer (Governmental Benefit Programs).
