U.S. investment fund FTV Capital buys Windward for USD270m

U.S. private equity fund FTV Capital is acquiring maritime AI leader Windward for USD270 million, doubling its IPO valuation.

Windward specializes in cutting-edge AI solutions for the shipping and maritime industries, while FTV Capital focuses on strategic investments in high-growth technology and services companies.

Epstein Rosenblum Maoz (ERM) acted for Windward, together with CMS Law Firm. The ERM team was led by corporate partner Simon Marks, supported by partner Jeremy Seeff and associate Noam Zimmerman. Additional expertise was provided by partner Tamar Dolev-Green on competition law and partner Rotem Perelman-Farhi on intellectual property matters.

Gornitzky & Co. and Willkie Farr & Gallagher advised the buyer FTV Capital.
