BIRD opens new call offering up to USD1.5m for US–Israel joint R&D projects
The BIRD Foundation has launched a new Call for Proposals supporting strategic US–Israel partnerships, offering grants of up to 50% of R&D costs with a maximum award of USD 1.5 million per project.
The program requires collaboration between two unrelated companies—one registered in the United States and one in Israel—and targets innovation with clear commercial potential across sectors including cybersecurity, fintech, life sciences, energy, and agri-tech. For in-house teams and outside counsel, the call can also be a timely prompt to review cross-border structuring, IP ownership and licensing, commercialization rights, and compliance mechanics before submission.
Executive summaries are due May 14, 2026, and full proposals are due July 9, 2026.
