Joel Cox has considerable experience advising on all aspects of public and private company M&A, equity capital markets
transactions and private equity and venture capital transactions. Joel regularly advises on complex cross border M&A,
including regularly acting for U.S. listed companies acquiring Australian companies. Joel also regularly advises on all types
of corporate fundraising, including initial public offers on the Australian Stock Exchange.
Daniel Kornberg advises clients on a range of Australian taxation issues. He has also worked in DLA Piper's global
corporate team and advised clients on all aspects of corporate law including M&A, venture capital and private equity.
Daniel's main area of focus is on corporate tax issues, both domestically and internationally. He regularly advises on
and drafts the tax aspects of legal documents in relation to various transactions including initial company set up and
structuring, employee share schemes, capital raising and venture capital investment, cross-border structuring, mergers,
private equity acquisitions and sales, and Australia's recently introduced multinational anti-avoidance law. Daniel also
assists clients by managing interactions with the Australian Taxation Office, including by seeking private and public
rulings, making voluntary disclosures and settling disputes.
