HyImpulse raises over EUR50m to scale European launch operations
German spacetech company HyImpulse has raised more than EUR 50 million in a Series A extension co-led by Ace Capital Partners and JOIN Capital, bringing its total equity and public funding to more than EUR 125 million.
Founded in 2018 as a spin-off of the German Aerospace Center, HyImpulse develops commercial launch vehicles using proprietary hybrid propulsion technology that combines paraffin fuel with liquid oxygen. The company is developing both its SR75 suborbital rocket and SL1 orbital launch vehicle.
The financing will support further development of the SR75 and SL1 platforms, expansion of production capacity, and growth of HyImpulse’s commercial operations across Europe and other markets. The company has more than 100 employees in Germany and the UK and an order book exceeding EUR 350 million across satellite launches, in-space mobility, suborbital research, and defense applications.
Other investors in the round included North Ventures, BW-Capital, Bayern Kapital, the German Aerospace Center, and existing investor Campus Founders Ventures.
Shibolet represented Ace Capital Partners in the transaction, with a team led by Ofer Manor, Eyal Gilboa, and Yotam Shor.
