Israeli exports reach record USD169b
Israeli exports reached an all-time high of USD 169 billion over the past year, according to official figures from the Foreign Trade Administration.
The total exceeded the Economy and Industry Ministry’s forecast of USD 165 billion and surpassed the previous record of just over USD 166 billion set in 2022. The increase came despite geopolitical challenges, boycott efforts, shipping disruptions, and currency volatility.
The record was driven primarily by the high-tech sector, particularly software and research and development exports, which accelerated in the second half of the year and offset weaker performance in traditional industries, including chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
While exports to Europe declined due to logistical and political factors, Israeli exports grew in several Asian and emerging markets. Exports rose in Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, and India, where Israel operates economic missions in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
