Israeli startups raised approximately USD 2.77 billion across 28 funding rounds in September, with a small group of mega-rounds driving much of the total.

The month’s five largest financings — Wonderful’s USD 550 million round, Cyera’s USD 400 million investment, Island’s USD 400 million round, Upwind’s USD 300 million financing, and Covenant’s USD 250 million raise — together accounted for approximately USD 1.9 billion, or 69% of all capital raised.

Other significant rounds included HiBob’s USD 166 million financing at a USD 3.5 billion valuation, Buildots’ USD 130 million round at nearly a USD 1 billion valuation, and MIND’s USD 72 million Series B.

Cybersecurity remained one of the strongest areas of activity, particularly around AI agents, identity, data security, and enterprise control. Defense technology also attracted substantial capital, led by Covenant and AITAN, while healthcare, infrastructure, travel-tech, and AI-enabled enterprise software added further breadth to the month’s funding activity.

The September figures reinforce a broader trend in Israeli technology investment, with capital increasingly concentrated around companies building the infrastructure, security, and operational layers required for large-scale AI deployment.
