Tricentis has acquired Tabnine, the Israeli-founded AI coding platform, in a deal estimated at tens of millions of dollars.

Tabnine develops secure, context-aware AI tools for enterprise software development. Its Enterprise Context Engine gives AI systems a structured understanding of enterprise codebases, dependencies, and software environments, helping make AI agents more accurate and reliable in complex development and testing workflows.

Tricentis plans to integrate Tabnine’s technology into its Agentic Quality Engineering Platform, strengthening its ability to support autonomous quality, testing, and release validation for enterprise customers. The acquisition comes as software testing moves increasingly toward AI agents capable of understanding and acting across large-scale enterprise systems.

Tabnine was founded in 2013 as Codota by Dror Weiss and Prof. Eran Yahav. The company later acquired Canadian startup Tabnine and rebranded under that name. Its investors have included OurCrowd, Telstra Ventures, Atlassian Ventures, Elaia, Headline, Hetz Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and TPY Capital.

Shibolet represented Tabnine in the transaction, with a team led by Yoav Manor, Neri Azri, Shani Michaeli, Basma Saada, Vered Meller, and Keren Shav-Artza.

Goldfarb Gross Seligman acted for Tricentis.
